Yoga is more than poses. When we practice yoga, we learn that the poses we take are a technology of remembering who we are and what we are capable of with the support of The Most High. Yes, Divine energy is a part of the practice. Though at first glance it looks like the body is doing all the work, underneath it all is the Truth: We are being guided to higher realms of self with each breath and pose, not of our own accord, solely. The Spirit moves and therefore our will to do the same is made manifest. Let's move our bodies or sit together to explore and learn more about yoga and the practices that heal and bring us closer to ourselves.

About the event
In Yoga there is a Yama that reminds us we must continually let go to receive. It’s called aparigraha, or non grasping. It’s easier to say goodbye to those things we don’t like. But I believe aparigraha to be a challenge because it requires recognizing that you can’t grasp those things you love either. As yogis, we must keep our hands, hearts, and minds open to allow things to flow in and out, up and down. This is our work.
As I prepare to move back to the east coast at the end of June, I am having to practice this tenant every day, remembering that when I let go, things are made free for other things to come in. Maybe you are practicing this right now in your life too? Life is a series of aparigrahas.
Before I let go of Sonoma County, I’d like to practice flowing with you one more time. Let’s do it! Are you down to take one more spin around the mat before we surrender again? I’d love to guide you through the practice and to savasana like old times.
